Iasi Metropolitan Area was established in 2004 from desire of local authorities to address the partnership development of the city and the surrounding area. Motivation of an integrated approach of development Iasi Metropolitan Area is the possibility of better management and exploitation of resources, the correlation of project implementation, the development of integrated accessibility and equipment metropolitan municipalities, in providing public services to citizens performed, in balancing and increasing the rate of economic development, in developing metropolitan government performance.
